I always saw a line outside the restaurant so the place should’ve been good. So one day me and my wife decided to go for a lunch. TLDR: it wasn’t bad but I won’t come again. The reason is that the food wasn’t that great for the price they charge. The free appetizer was good, then we ordered calamari, octopus and for the main I had whole branzino which is my favorite. Pretty much all the dishes were ok, not a lot of flavor. Glass of wine was $17 and it was on the low end. There are so many positive reviews but I just don’t get it. There are better options around.

Our staff went on a Friday afternoon and the visit to the restaurant was so very pleasant. I felt like I was at Mom's home and she cooked the best meal for us. Our host was so kind and knowledgeable and she made sure what was the best combination of starters and meals for us. She made the experience that much better. The food was tasty and it was just a fun experience. Our office will be back.

I have been coming here for a number of years, every time I visit Fort Lauderdale. I usually get the baby back ribs or the lamb chops. Both dishes, literally, are as good as can be. After serving them for over a quarter of a century, they’ve got it worked out to an art. They are served with a traditional Greek green bean dish and some potato wedges. It’s hard not to finish those as well. While you’re waiting for the food, they bring some homemade hummus and bread; it’s delicious, great body to it. There’s plenty of attentive service. The decor has kind of upscale Greek Island taverna thing going on. It’s nice. Heads up: I think parking is valet only so if you’re not into that take a ride service, a bus, or walk.

This restaurant came highly recommended by fellow travelers at the hotel and did not disappoint. I had a gyro which was amazing and the tzatziki sauce was next level fantastic. My husband had the chicken kabob with rice. He loved it although there wasn’t any grilled vegetables so I might recommend to order those on the side. We would definitely recommend this lovely restaurant. Service was great too!!

I visited Greek Islands Taverna to celebrate a birthday. Overall, it was a decent experience, but nothing that really stood out as exceptional. The service was good, attentive and friendly, but not particularly memorable. As for the food, there were some highlights: the coal-fired wings and lamb chops were definitely the stars of the night! Both were flavorful and well-cooked. On the other hand, the fried zucchini could’ve been sliced thinner to get that nice crisp texture; instead, they came out a bit soggy. The calamari was just okay, nothing special. The grilled filet mignon was tender, but unfortunately had a slightly odd aftertaste that took away from the dish. The parking situation is probably the biggest downside. There are only a few free self-parking spots near the entrance, which fill up quickly. Valet is available, but it’s located behind the building, so you actually end up walking more than if you manage to park yourself, which doesn’t make much sense. And since self-parking is so limited, you’re often forced into valet on busy nights. Overall, a solid spot with a few great dishes, but some inconsistencies and logistical frustrations keep it from being a top-tier ex
